How Horrible am I at Blogging??

Maybe I would be more apt to posting if I was more computer savvy. Buttt I really am just horrible with maintaining anything on the internet except for my Facebook and Twitter. It’s currently finals week and I’m finding every reason and measure to avoid studying... Hence the reason I’m blogging. :) Between my academics and time spent with sorority related events, I’ve been satisfyingly swamped this semester. Hopefully next semester will slow down.

My biggest interest this semester has been my sorority, Alpha Sigma Tau. (The photo attached below is my pledge class on bid day, back in September.)

I just rushed this year as a junior and ended up being the gamma zeta pledge class president, overseeing 58 wonderful ladies. I was initiated at the end of October and have already been a part of many exciting events and I simply cannot wait for the upcoming years. I just obtained the role of t shirt chair for this upcoming year. Some of my fraternity friends think it's a joke, but when there are 122 girls in your sorority, it really is necessary to have the job of ordering t-shirts organized and designated to one person. Any ideas for some cool shirts for any college related events? (i.e. homecoming, greek week, rush week, etc.) Let me know!

I’ve been stumbling a lot lately. Have you guys tried stumbleupon.com? It’s a website that allows you to enter your interests and it gives you suggestions as to what websites you’ll probably like. It’s really the coolest and I’ve come across some really interesting and/or humorous things. Go stumble!

I have a lot more vintage items to be posted to my Etsy store... While I am home over Christmas break, my sister is going to model new items to be posted, so watch out for that! In the meantime, take a gander at the store to see if there is anything you could get as a gift for someone on your list! Most of the prices have been reduced to get rid of some of the inventory... I don't have much space in my apartment.

I’m also currently compiling a Christmas wishlist... Perhaps that will be my next post. That’s an update for now... Comment and keep me motivated to post again soon.

Weekend Update

I apologize for not posting regularly. However, from now on, I am going to truly try to keep up with this because I really want to promote my Etsy store and also keep family and friends posted about life. So what's new with me? I'm back at school taking a few summer classes. My job as an after-school-care-worker is no longer a job in existence because the state of Illinois is poor as shit and therefore has taken away the funding for my after-school-care program. Hmph. So, I'm desperately looking for a job. Anyone know of anything in the St. Louis/Metro-east area? I have applied 15 places so far... and nothing.

My weekend was alright. Friday night, I hung out with some friends. We drank outside in my cousin's summer house and a HUGE STORM hit the area. We were about to go inside until the power went out. I'm sure it wasn't the safest life choice I've ever made, but at least in the summer house there was some natural outdoor light between the moon and breaks of lightening. Last night, my bff from high school came to visit meee. We made funfetti cookies at an extremely late hour, which was also not the smartest life choice considering our air conditioning was broken. The heat from the oven made our apartment even MORE hottt. Can you spot the llama cookie?

So since our air conditioning is broken, we passed the time by going to The Galleria today. I didn't need to spend the money, but I was glad I was in the A/C and with my bff all day. So I'm currently in the library... Uhm, "studying" for the midterm I have tomorrow. I'm also using the library as an escape from my scorching hot apartment. The good news is after about 8 or so maintenance trips... We should be getting our A/C fixed for GOOD tomorrow sometime.

I have had 10 sales in my Etsy Store in the past 3 months... Which is a start. But I'd like to get the ball rolling. I have been promoting my Etsy store via Myspace. Myspace is so 2005 though, right? I guess blogging would be a better route, but I never have the time or patience to sit and write, unless it's for school. But here I am, blogging again. And I'll be posting again shortly to give you an Etsy shop update. :]

I have come to realize...

...That I'm not very good at this whole blogging thing. So after a long time period without any blog posting... I'm back to post a short blogpost notifying my few readers that my Etsy store is up and running! I have posted 12 items and will be posting more weekly. Checkkkk ittt outttt. :]

Etsy Store Sneak Preview

In the next couple of weeks, I will be opening up my Etsy Store! So to get my few readers that I have ABSOLUTELY PUMPED, I'm posting some photos of a few items I will be selling. I'm giving you a preview of a shirt, a bottom, a dress and an accessory to give you a little taste.... A vintage polka dot button up shirt, a beautiful navy paisley skirt that I hemmed, MY FAVORITE little lacy drop waist dress! (Way too small for me to keep, or it'd be in my closet right now) and finally, a clip bow for your hair... the perfect deep burgundy color! The beautiful model is my little sister, Jessie. She should actually try to get signed by a modeling agency, right? She's only 17 and I swear she gets more gorgeous by the minute.

Busy, busy, busy.

I moved into my apartment a couple of weeks ago... I had about 3 days to pack, move, then unpack, catch up with friends, go to a few parties, situate/decorate my apartment, go to get my books, etc. etc... And then school started. Ever since then I've been sooo busy getting into the swing of things and I greatly apologize that I haven't been able to post. For this post, I thought I'd share a few pictures of my apartment prior to decorating... And once my apartment is finally decorated, I'll post a blog with pictures of the finished product!  It's nothing special... It's a campus apartment, so the supplied furniture as well as the tile floors are very dorm-like...
